SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – Cheil Worldwide won 5 Gold, 3 Silver, and 4 Bronze Pencil at The One Show 2020. The Pencils came out of 29 finalist entries which is a new record in the agency network’s history.
Cheil Hong Kong’s for Chupa Chups swept eight awards including three Gold Pencil – two in Print and one in Out of Home categories. The series of prints convey arduous tasks for kids and how the temporary escape can feel much sweeter.
<BACK2LIFE> by Cheil PengTai Beijing and Cheil Hong Kong grabbed six awards including two Gold Pencil, one each in Interactive & Online and Mobile category. The campaign helped people learn CPR by hacking biggest game of the year and building hands-on CPR training right into the game.
A Silver and a Bronze Pencil went to Cheil UK’s which created an immersive backdrop on the screen at Piccadilly Circus to showcase the iconic phone. One Bronze Pencil went to which is an interactive in-store installation at Samsung KX, a brand experience space located in King’s Cross, London.
Merit winners include Cheil Hong Kong’s , developing an app that uses facial recognition to detect early warning signs of a fatal stroke, Cheil India’s <Now, Words Aren’t Just Heard, But Felt>, helping deaf blind people communicate through an app, and Cheil Centrade’s , a 40-minute film revealing the unnoticed portrayal of violence against women.
