MANILA, PHILIPPINES — For local retailer Comic Odyssey’s latest foray into e-commerce, the brand hosted “Supercast,” the country’s first major toys and collectibles simulcast last June 27. The launch is available to view on Comic Odyssey’s Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter platforms, providing fans with their first look at the new www.pops.ph website.
“Everything we do, we do for our customers,” says Comic Odyssey owner and founder Sandy Sansolis. “We’re always thinking of new offerings, and the way the situation is now, things like the livestream and upgrading our platforms help us to reach them 24/7 — no matter where they are in the Philippines.”
Located at www.pops.ph, the new site will cater to casual shoppers and die-hard fans of the massively popular Funko Pop line of collectible vinyl figures, which represent thousands of characters from film, tv, animation, sports, and music. In addition to a wide assortment of the newest exclusive figures, the new site will introduce a robust membership program that will allow fans to earn rewards while building their collections.
The Supercast was hosted by Comic Odyssey online mainstays Paul and Aise, along with special celebrity guest and avid comic collector Dino Imperial, as they walk through the site, while talking new releases, superheroes, and the joy of fandom.
