MANILA, MAY 1, 2013 – Globe Telecom has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 in the Philippines. The Galaxy S4 is the latest iteration of Samsung’s popular range-topping smartphone, and features a five-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a quad-core 1.9GHz processor that powers advanced features such as Air View, Smart Pause, Dual Camera and Drama Shot.
Globe is offering the Galaxy S4 with a choice of its customizable postpaid plans. The S4 can be had with the company’s My Super Plan 999, which comes with unlimited LTE access and free calls and texts, with a PhP600 monthly cashout on top of a PhP1,599 monthly fee.
The Galaxy S4 can also be purchased with Globe’s Platinum plans and can be had with additional offers; for instance, signing up for a 24-month contract period confers the choice of one of several free Samsung devices along with the S4. The S4 can also be bought at lower plans with monthly payouts payable through credit cards over 24 months at zero interest.
The introduction of the Galaxy S4 follows Globe’s win at the 16th Telecom Asia Awards for My Super Plan in the Most Innovative Telecom Project category, the award bestowed upon the project with the most significant impact on the market.
