MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), headed by the Cultural Content Department will hold a Question and Answer (Q & A) Information Session on its project, the CCP Animation and Comics Grant, this Monday, May 2 at 10:00 AM. This information session will be a sort of orientation for the grant applicants and an invitation to groups and individuals who are interested but have not applied yet.

This event is featuring special guest speakers Tanya Yuson and Kajo Baldisimo, the producer and the comic artist behind Trese. Yuson and Baldisimo will share their professional experience in the creative industry and inspire the applicants as they come up with their pitches.

The Information Session will also have a question and answer portion to guide the attendees with their application and set their expectations of the grant.

The CCP Comics grant offers PHP 330,000 for a potential of six winners to create a minimum 24-page comics; while the CCP Animation Grant has funding of PHP 2M each for four potential winners to produce a 5-minute animated short film. Both the animation and comics output must be based on existing Philippine Folktales, Myths, and Legends. In addition, a training component led by industry professionals will be available for the winners as they develop their projects.
