MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Ayala Museum and Manila Symphony Orchestra will hold a special online concert, “MusiKayumanggi: A Century of Filipino Music,” on July 2, 2022.
“MusiKayumanggi: A Century of Filipino Music” explores the richness and diversity of Philippine culture through music. The Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will perform beloved Filipino classics expressed in various orchestral and chamber arrangements, including hits such as “Lahing Kayumanggi” by Lucio San Pedro, “Kalesa” by Hernani Cuenco, and “Hahanapin Ko” by Jose Mari Chan.
The history of a people is often immortalized in their music and for the Manila Symphony Orchestra, if there is one thing that unites our country – it’s music. This online concert features the Manila Symphony Orchestra performing within the Ayala Museum, including inside the museum’s galleries – marking the first time since 2019 that the Manila Symphony Orchestra will be performing inside the museum halls again.
“MusiKayumanggi: A Century of Filipino Music” will take place via Zoom on July 2, 6:30 pm. Tickets are at PHP 1,200 for regular passes, and PHP 960 for Ayala Museum Members.
