LONDON, UK — This week, Pentawards will be hosting its first-ever online event tailored specifically for the Chinese market to help brands and designers in China unlock the potential of their design.
Attendees for Pentawards Festival China: Design Fast Forward will hear from leading designers and brands including Gianmauro Vella from PepsiCo China, David Jenkinson from Pearlfisher, Chloé Templeman from Design Bridge, who will discuss topics ranging from sustainability and ecommerce to consumer behaviour and new innovations.
In the 15 years since its founding, Pentawards has always celebrated excellence in packaging design and sought to develop a deeper understanding of evolving design from across the globe.
With more than 22,000 entries from over 60 countries, we have seen how different cultures and approaches have influenced design and which countries are leading the way in pioneering packaging design.
Adam Ryan, the Head of Pentawards comments: “Over the last 5 years, the number of entries into and winners of the Pentawards competition has grown dramatically, and the prediction is that this will continue. With China fast becoming one of the world’s leading creative superpowers, we have created something bespoke for this fast-growing market, with tailored content and speakers”
This year, Pentawards also collaborated with iPUN to host an offline viewing session at OLAB, where all the design lovers can network and exchange their ideas in person. OLAB is the first symbiosis space with the ambition to promote lifestyle and culture in Shenzhen. Taking the trend of new life thinking as the starting point, creating a curatorial space extended by the concept of design aesthetics, and interpreting the aesthetic ecology of future life with the positioning of “future, cross-border, and curatorial”. The audience will be able to sign up for the event by searching IPUN超市 in mini program.
All video content will be pre-recorded, and any English content will be translated into Chinese for the best watching experience. The audience can access all the content by scanning the QR code in WeChat.
