MANILA, PHILIPPINES – On Thursday and Friday, May 20 and 21, 2021, join HR startup, workplace culture advocate and job seeking platform Workbean at Career Fiesta 2021. More than just a virtual career fair, it is a celebration of all the opportunities young talents can chase—as well as an opportunity to win exciting work from home items in exchange for points.
Last year’s Career Fiesta welcomed over 500 young talents to the 2-day event filled with career development workshops and company culture talks. One of its major highlights was how Workbean gamified the Fiesta by letting participants “build” their own halo-halo for a chance to win a full home office setup.
This year, five lucky participants can qualify for a virtual shopping spree at the event’s sari-sari store, choosing from a wide array of home office setup goodies: from office chairs and tables, to printers and mechanical keyboards.
Meeting last year’s overwhelming reception
After a successful Career Fiesta 2020, Workbean is determined to organize a sequel, with new features, theme, and mission. “Now that we’ve been based in our homes for over a year, we wanted to lend a hand to students and job-seekers alike in navigating the future of workspaces,” said Career Fiesta Program Director, Louie Yao.
The Fiesta’s roster presents a good mix of salary negotiation, mental wellness, spending wisely and company culture talks for people to find work where they belong. “We’re excited to learn alongside future trailblazers,” Louie Yao added.
From traditional to digital, and startups too
Besides a fun and holistic learning experience for young talents, Workbean has invited companies from startups to multinational FMCG companies to share their workplace culture and open roles for the year—you may recognize some familiar names like Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines Inc. and JT International Philippines. Workbean aims to offer its participants a spectrum of career choices by showcasing different kinds of companies in various industries.
As a startup, Workbean acclaims the potential and value of innovation and impact. They have also invited burgeoning startups such as Automart.PH, Tonik Bank, Lalamove and GCash to the lineup.
On adulting, networking and mental health
On top of company culture showcases, the event houses industry experts to share their knowledge in different fields while earning the audience points towards their potential “add to cart” fest. Throughout the 2 days, there will also be Mental Wellness Breaks and Networking sessions, giving ample opportunities to connect with themselves and others.
