MANILA, Philippines— Back for its second year, the Social Problems are Design Problems (SPDP 2021) by And a Half Design Studio is running from October 8 to 9. The two day event will answer the question: What is the future of design for a world in crisis?

With the theme Regeneration through Circular Design Strategies, the series will follow a micro to macro view on regeneration: starting from products, leading to businesses, spaces, and finally communities.

Meanwhile, the workshop series will have two sessions: Food Sovereignty Workshop with SLOW FOOD SARI-SARI—Exploring Community Gardens as a way to achieve food sovereignty, empowering families to sustain themselves and their communities; and Better Cities Workshop with ANTHONY SIY—Exploring how to be more inclusive in space design and urban planning for better community mobility and wellness.
