MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) teams up with global documentary powerhouse Taskovski Films to unveil the #DocsConnect Documentary Film Lab, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering Filipino filmmakers.
This five-day intensive lab, happening from January 16 to 20, 2025, will guide 18 filmmakers as they shape the narratives of 10 promising documentary projects. The program promises a rare blend of mentorship, skill-building, and industry insights led by renowned experts, including Taskovski Films’ Irena Taskovski and documentary filmmakers Hubert Sauper and Alexander Goekjian.
Participants will delve deep into the craft of storytelling, mastering the art of pitching, and navigating the unique challenges of documentary filmmaking. Select students will be granted behind-the-scenes access to observe and experience the filming process firsthand.
