SRI LANKA — The Digital Marketing Association of Sri Lanka (DMASL), Sri Lanka’s premier organization that brings together digital marketing practitioners in the industry, held its DMASL Digital Summit last July 03 and 04 to a sold-out crowd of digital advertising agencies, brands, and experts from both local and international markets. Now in its second year, the DMASL Digital Summit grew from a one-day event last year to a packed two-day celebration this year, held at the historic Water’s Edge, Colombo.

With the theme “Charting the Uncharted,” the festivities focused on the most significant transformations and innovations in the digital marketing ecosystem and how the industry should be poised to take them on with great preparedness, the right tools, and, above all, the correct mindset.

Crucial to this thrust was their invitation of over 20 international and local experts in various fields of AI, AR/VR, performance, influencer, search, streaming, ecommerce, and digital creativity, to name a few. And our very own, Rey Tiempo, Creative Gaming Brand Specialist, Founder of Game On, the industry’s first and only portal on Gaming X Marketing, and Founder and Chief Creative of Co-Op Play, brand gamification specialists, was on-ground to represent the Philippines and Gaming. Rey’s main hall session titled “Game On: How Brands Can Enable God Mode in Gaming” highlighted the steps that brands can take to develop an indestructible winning mindset in the creative gaming space; while in his breakout room workshop “Press Start: Let’s Take a Crack at Gaming X Marketing,” he tackled a real, live brand brief and demonstrated the principles of brand gamification, in practice.

“I am honored to be at the DMASL Digital Summit for our country and especially to represent Gaming in the marketing industry. Gaming X Marketing has come a long way since I first introduced its rich creative opportunities through Game On. And now I am just happy and thrilled to have found staunch supporters, allies, partners and eager playmates here in Sri Lanka, as I push further for a truly borderless brand gamification approach º because real groundbreaking creative gaming work is indeed borderless. The Sri Lanka marketing industry is a breath of fresh air; it warms my heart to witness such a united industry, just genuinely out to help each other to get better and to boost everyone to greater heights. I will forever be a fan, and will always cheer for my brothers and sisters this side of the world. I have found a home here, and will definitely be back!” Rey Tiempo said, as he congratulated the DMASL leadership on their success.

“Rey’s participation as a speaker and workshop host at the DMASL Summit was truly eye-opening for many emerging marketers. His insights into the world of gaming and its potential for brand collaborations were both inspiring and enlightening. As Sri Lanka’s biggest digital event, backed by the government, the summit was honored to have speakers like Rey representing the Philippines. His contributions encouraged delegates to explore new verticals in the digital marketing realm, making a significant impact on the audience,” commented Arun Jeger, Founder member and VP of DMASL and Co-founder and Managing Partner of DC Group Sri Lanka.
