MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The One Club for Creativity is an international non-profit organization that is all about creative excellence. Every year, it rolls out award shows, grant programs, workshops, and various other activities to bolster the global creative community with inspiration, training, and a lot of celebration. This July, the team behind The One Club – CEO Kevin Swanepoel, Chief Growth Officer Molly Crossin, and One Asia Awards Director Season Zhou – flew out of New York City to tour around Asia Pacific, and meet with creative leaders across the region.
On July 24, the team landed in Manila and marked their first-ever visit by hosting a dinner with some of the Philippines’ leading advertising creatives. The dinner, which created the perfect atmosphere to exchange ideas over drinks, was hosted at Dr. Wine in Poblacion, Makati.

Kevin addressed the room of creatives with a toast: “What I love to see here is that all agencies that are here – who work together and are friends – have a great community! I thank you all for being here, and I hope you come back and judge with us at The One Show. Cheers!”
The One Club for Creativity CEO also thanked adobo Magazine‘s very own Angel Guerrero for bringing the first-ever Portfolio Night in Manila: “Thank you for hosting Portfolio Night, Angel, I appreciate that,” Kevin added.
The team also shared some initiatives that The One Club is currently rolling out: “We have a new thing going on in education. Education is really important to us https://www.oneclub.org/education/. DEI is really important to us. We do roundtables on equality. One Club is a non-profit, so we take revenues from awards shows and put it back into education and industry events so with your help we will do that. We have five One Schools, four in the US https://oneschoolus.com/and this year we just launched one in London.”
He went on, “We have a new program that is starting in the US, it is called One Creator Lab https://onecreatorlab.org/ where we are getting young creatives on TikTok, reels and the like to understand how to work with brands, and come into agencies and agency creatives teaching them how to understand the brief, how to talk in to the tone of the brand. We are going to roll this out globally next year in different regions and we would love to have you guys.””
