MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The pandemic has taken over everyone’s lives. Time in solitary has forced people to be alone with their thoughts — more so, reevaluate their choices in life. For some, it made them second guess their capacity as an individual and as a Filipino.
The timing of Linya-Linya’s partnership with the rockstar of the Philippines Dong Abay could not be better. Linya-Linya believes that Dong Abay’s song Perpekto encapsulates the sentiment of every Filipino. As everyone tries to survive, these lyrics from the song will inspire people to keep trying and embrace mistakes:

“Para sa sarili mo, gaanan mo na lang ‘yung tingin mo sa buhay. Palagay ko, mas makakatulong ‘yun kasi mas nakikita mo ‘yung mga simpleng bagay sa buhay– like ‘yung pag-appreciate mo ng kagandahan ng kulay ng isang bulaklak; nagising ka sa tunog ng mga ibon habang nagkakape ka. Magpasalamat ka na lang na buhay ka pa, na gumising ka pa.”
Dong Abay is a poet, social activist, and a musician whose music has transcended from generations to generations.
