MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Short documentary To Calm the Pig Inside is joining the upcoming Climate Crisis Film Festival happening on November 1 to 14.
The CCFF is happening in coincidence with the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland. Everyone is welcome to register worldwide.
“I feel that our film related to super typhoon Haiyan, has somehow managed to give voice to those who lived through the trauma in Tacloban and the Visayas, in a way that hopefully draws more empathy to the global effects of the ever stronger storms, worldwide. As CCFF is taking place during perhaps the most important climate change conference, this should help shed more light on our situation in the Philippines,” said director Joanna Vasquez Arong.
The film is one of the four nominees alongside Haulover: Separated; Hawaiian Soul, and; Time and the Seashell. The award will be announced in a ceremony in Glasgow on November 12. CCFF is the UK’s first climate action film festival.
