Cinema Rehiyon 14 is a non-competition film festival that complements the film-making frontiers of the various regions of the Philippines outside Metro Manila. It is among the Philippines’ most-awaited events for regional cinema, which started last February 25, 2022 in Davao City, and will show films nationwide through online video-on-demand platforms and physical screenings. Cinema Rehiyon is a flagship project of NCCA‘s National Committee on Cinema. The films will explore many topics on various concerns and social issues that promote cinema as a tool for social change.
The groups already launched their first virtual screening which was also organized and presented by Rm. 74, with Kurit Lagting, Rhymes of Peg, and SabaDugtungan last February 27, 2022 featuring VinJo Entuna’s “Ang Amomonggo sa Aton” (The Monster Among Us). The group also held a post-screening discussion with the filmmaker.
