MANILA, PHILIPPINES – As the much-awaited Art Fair Philippines settles into the digital space in its 9th year, Globe Platinum is giving its customers a rare chance to immerse themselves in the masterpieces of some of the world’s best digital artists while at the same time support vulnerable children from Baseco Compound, Manila.

In an ongoing partnership with Art Fair Philippines, Globe Platinum once again co-presents the ArtFairPH/Film section, which spotligh’ts digital art films. While the exhibit is free and open to the public from May 6-15 on www.artfairphilippines.com, Globe Platinum customers are in for a treat because they will get exclusive access to additional works by the featured digital artists.

At the Globe Platinum Art Film Weekend on May 8-9, guests can view the pieces of Guy Oliver, whose interdisciplinary practice applies video and text, digital print, painting, collage and performance; Jeremy Couillard, a self-taught new media artist popular for his video game and virtual reality works; Petra Cortright, touted as the Monet of the 21st century whose current practice is derived from creating and distributing digital files; and Keiken, a collaborative practice co-founded by artists Tanya Cruz, Hana Omori and Isabel Ramos.

After the event, a special gift will also be delivered to participants’ doorsteps—an art film viewer that contains scenes from the works of the ArtFairPH/Film featured artists and a one-year pass to Daata, a platform for digital art where users can collect and stream contemporary digital art.

What’s more, for every film viewed during the Art Film Weekend, a World Vision school kit is sent to a child from Baseco Compound, Manila as part of Globe Platinum’s #ForFutureHeroes program. Each kit contains DepEd-approved learning modules and school supplies that will help the most vulnerable students transition to online learning.

“As a staunch advocate of modern and contemporary art, Globe Platinum is eager to make this first-ever online art fair to become a very meaningful experience for our customers as we introduce them yet to a new range of amazing works that can spark inspiration and hope in these extraordinary times,” said James Alcantara, Globe Platinum Marketing Director.
