LONDON, United Kingdom— PRETTYBIRD Director Margot Bowman shoots Charlotte Dos Santos in a stunning promo for ‘Patience’, a new track produced by Charlotte and Josh Crocker (Kali Uchis, Celeste, Mabel).
The enchanting music video features Dos Santos surrounded by Sakura blossoms, evoking a love story that lends itself to the tender lyricism floating weightlessly above an enchanting groove. Bowman’s mesmerising video is imbued with themes of self-love and care. The ‘Patience’ promo was exec-produced by Juliette Larthe and produced by Chris Murdoch at PRETTYBIRD.
Director Margot Bowman said: “This is a song about how love and time interact which raised all sorts of questions about how our understanding of history impacts our identity and self-worth. For the video, we wanted to challenge the institution of the museum and create an environment where a new kind of history could be recorded, where Charlotte’s own, unique experience could be archived. I love collaborating with her and the richness of the world we get to create.”
Of the track, Charlotte Dos Santos says that it’s “a song about love, and the most important yet hardest act, patience. It is a love story that took place in Japan, amongst the beautiful Sakura blossoms, one full moon in April.”
