180 Amsterdam appoints Armistead as head of planning

AMSTERDAM – Strategic expert Ben Armistead has been appointed to Head of Planning at 180 Amsterdam, on the back of the agency’s recent high profile work for world-leading brands such as Qatar Airways, PlayStation, DHL and REPLAY.
 
British-born Armistead joins the agency from his previous role as Global Planning Director at Wieden + Kennedy, where he was responsible for global planning for Electronic Arts and Powerade, as well as regional planning for Nike and ESPN. Prior to that he was a Senior Planner at Dare and Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy, where he had a client roster that included the Department of Health and the Metropolitan Police. He was featured as a ‘Face to Watch’ by Campaign Magazine in 2010 and the same year was part of the team that saw MCBD crowned the IPA Effectiveness Company of the Year.
 
In his new role at 180 Amsterdam, keen triathlete Armistead has been tasked with taking an instrumental role in the agency’s ambitious future business plans, as well as spearheading strategic excellence for brands such as asics and Qatar Airways.
