SINGAPORE – As judging ended for the Spikes Asia Festival of Creativty yesterday, today saw the release of shortlists for seven categories, namely, Branded Content & Entertainment, Direct, Film, Film Craft, Print & Poster Craft, Promo & Activation, and Radio.
Overall, Australia snagged the most numberof shortlists today, with 98 – despite having no nods in Radio – while Japan and New Zealand took second and third place with 49 and 47 shortlists, respectively.
Of the Philippine entries, 17 made today’s cut, with three houses receiving five shortlist appearances each, namely, BBDO Guerrero, Leo Burnett, and Lowe Philippines,while Ace Saatchi & Saatchi received two. BBDO’s shortlists were secured by #unselfie (Direct and Promo & Activation), Pepsi ‘Bottle Light’ (Direct), and Pantene ‘Labels Against Women’ (Film), while Leo Burnett got 3 Radio shortlists for its ‘Virgin Labfest’ spots, and two for its ‘Aid Couture’ (Promo & Activation) initiative for typhoon relief. LOWE Philippines also leads today’s Philippine shortlist race, with five Print & Poster Craft nods for their own typhoon relief creation: the ‘Eco Bag’ for client SM.
Completing the Philipine shortlists were Ace Saatchi & Saatchi’s Cebuana Lhuillier ‘Re-Meet’ (Promo & Activation) and Pampers’ ‘ZZZ Radio’ for client P&G.
