ADFEST 2017: Australia’s ‘Giga Selfie’ tourism campaign by TBWAHakuhodo wins big in Outdoor Lotus category

PATTAYA – A winner of Gold and Bronze Lions and Silver and Bronze Spikes, the world’s biggest selfie tourism campaign finally struck a Best of Show award after taking home the Grande Outdoor Lotus in the Asia-Pacific ADFEST 2017. 

‘Giga Selfie’ was a campaign created by TBWA\Hakuhodo to help promote tourism in Australia by turning ordinary selfies to huge, high-quality, wide shot selfies that can never be taken using your own arm or any other selfie stick. 

The world’s largest selfie service was set up in two of Australia’s most popular destinations including the Gold Coast’s Main Beach were Japanese tourists took their giant selfies through an app that transported signals to a high-tech camera and computer which then sent back the photo to the user.
