PATTAYA – Awarded by TIME as one of the 25 best inventions of 2016 in the world, ‘The Unusual Football Field’, an innovative project by Thai property developer, AP (Thailand) Public Company and CJ Worx has again been recognized at the Asia-Pacific ADFEST 2017 awards ceremony held in Pattaya, Thailand.

The project was created to give the kids from one of Thailand’s remote communities the chance to engage in sports instead of being idle or involving themselves in dangerous or illegal activities. Through the expertise of AP Thailand, abandoned lots or ‘waste areas’ which are not always rectangular were transformed into football fields with various shapes and sizes to maximize every available space.

“I love it so much simply because it is beyond design. It is an out-of-the-box design idea with a purpose,” commented Chow Kok Keong, ECD of Hakuhodo Indonesia and a jury member in the Design Lotus category.

The last Gold Lotus went to another Dentsu Inc. agency, Beijing Dentsu Advertising Co., Ltd., for ‘Picture Book Without Pictures’, a campaign for Instax.
