PATTAYA, Thailand – The Ayala Museum in Manila has long been famous for its handcrafted dioramas that visually narrate many milestones in Philippine history. Recently, the museum collaborated with German filmmaker Marco Biemann (I Am Cardboard PH) and award winning sound studio Hit Productions to introduce fully immersive VR (Virtual Reality) dioramas to visitors.
Filipinos have had a long and ongoing struggle with national identity, and VR storytelling makes that struggle intensely personal and highly relevant, transforming history from just another school lecture to a powerful lens through which to see the present.
Learn directly from the production team about the creative process, the equipment used, how VR is shot, edited and mixed, the challenges of VR storytelling, and best practices for creating virtual reality and ambisonic content, as well as other possible applications for commercial and advertising settings. VR headsets and headphones will be provided for participants.
