Australia takes 11 golds; Hong Kong and China win Grande Lotus awards at ADFEST 2015

PATTAYA – Australia took the most number of gold metals in the first round of ADFEST 2015 winners that were awarded tonight. Whybin\TBWA’s “ANZ GAYTMS” campaign for ANZ Bank was awarded four golds for Outdoor Lotus under Ambient: Large Scale and Guerilla Marketing categories, Direct Lotus under Direct Campaign for Retention/Loyalty and Design Lotus for Exhibitions, Events and Public Environment. Also from Whybin\TBWA, “Your Call” for 3AW was awarded a gold for Direct Lotus under Best Use of Social Media. Other gold winners from Australia are JWT Sydney, McCann Melbourne, Leo Burnett Melbourne, Finch and Exit Films.

Not too far from Australia is Japan with 8 golds and 1 Grande Lotus. Dentsu Inc. Tokyo Motor Show 2014-15 ‘Honda, Beautiful Engines in Books and Publications” was awarded best of show for Design Lotus. The agency also won three of Japan’s 8 golds. Hakuhodo, Hakuhodo.inc, TBWA\Hakuhodo, Six were also gold winners.

Meanwhile, China scores two Grand Lotus awards. One of these was awarded to AKQA Shanghai for Nike’s ‘Nike House of Mamba’ for Interactive Lotus and the other was given to Y&R Beijing for Audio Books ‘MIC: Alice/Moby Dick/Frankenstein/Don Quexote/Dracula/Holmes/Prometheus/D-Day for Press Lotus’. The same campaign also won a gold for Outdoor Lotus and Print Craft Lotus. Lowe China also bagged two golds for its ‘No left turn/no u-turn/speed limit/no entry/no trucks/traffic light ahead’ campaign for Buick.
