KARACHI, PAKISTAN – At the second annual Effies Pakistan event held on Friday night, BBDO Pakistan were awarded the much coveted Grand Effie for the second year in a row – this time for “Truck Art Childfinder,” a collaboration with conceptual artist and anthropologist Samar Minallah Khan for Berger Paints / Roshni Helpline.

The agency also took home a total of 8 other Effie Awards trophies: 6 Golds – the most of any agency at the show – and 2 Silvers, won across 5 campaigns for 5 different brands in 7 categories. Other Golds were awarded to BBDO’s work for UN Women titled “Stop Jahezkhori” (which won the Grand Prix at the 2019 Spikes Asia festival), and the campaign “Game of Meals” for cheetay.pk. Silver Effies were awarded to the agency for their work on VISA and Zzoop.

Regional Executive Creative Director for BBDO Middle East and Pakistan, Ali Rez, thanked the Pakistan Effie committee for carrying on with the show in these difficult circumstances, and said: “It’s not enough to be creative, one must demonstrate effectiveness as well, which is why these awards mean so much: they prove that good work works, that it has true impact whether in social good, or in commerce. We are thankful to all our incredible brand partners who put their faith in us, and to all the teams who worked so hard to achieve this. Congratulations to all.”
