ASIA-PACIFIC – THAILAND, APRIL 1, 2011 – Aside from winning awards and leading Creative Juice Thailand, Thirasak Tanapatanakul is busy sharing a simpler life with families and fellow creatives. Last year, he opened “My Family Project”, or Burg Barn Buri, a complex that is both a farm and a getaway.
Burg Barn Buri caters to groups for creative retreat workshops, with programs are customized according to requirements, all with good food, simple entertainment and craft, leisure time, and stimulating conversation about sustainability and purposeful living.

Rooms are basic, with no airconditioning, refrigerator or TV but there are views of nature, hot water and wi-fi signal—in case it is impossible to escape responsibilities back home. But guests are encouraged to switch off, reflect and be creative in this simple environment, knowing that the bare necessities make for rich, full lives. A visit to Burg Barn Buri might be an unusual alternative to overseas agency trips, but worth considering. Aren’t the essentials what life is all about?
