BBDO and Proximity Greater China elevates Kit Koh to Executive Creative Director

HONG KONG – BBDO and Proximity Greater China has promoted Kit Koh to Executive Creative Director of BBDO and Proximity South China- a marquee appointment to the group’s rapidly growing Hong Kong and Guangzhou offices, which in the past 12 months have won a string of significant new business including MetLife and Vita Teas and have won the Grand Effie Hong Kong, gold awards at AME’s, AdFest (Effectiveness Lotus), Kam Fan and silver at Agency of the Year Awards.

Kit is currently the Executive Creative Director of Energy BBDO in Shanghai, leading several brands including VISA, Bayer, SC Johnson, DENZA, Master Kong, and Platinum Guild International.  A BBDO veteran of 12 years, Kit is one of the most awarded creatives across Greater China- with some 80 awards to his name over the past 3 years alone. These include golds at Spikes Asia, AdFest, Asia Marketing Effectiveness Awards, ROI Festival, China 4As,Great Wall Awards, LongXi.  Notably, his various campaigns have been ranked by WARC as the 22nd, 51st  and 79th smartest in the world, and he has been nominated as Campaign Greater China Creative Person of the Year for 3 consecutive years, winning Silver in 2014.  Kit is regularly invited to judge award shows, and has been a panellist at the New York Festivals, LongXi Awards, Great Wall Advertising Awards as well as the ROI Awards.

With this significant promotion, Kit will relocate from Shanghai to spearhead the growth, creative excellence and culture of BBDO and Proximity offices in both Hong Kong and Guangzhou, joining a strong management team which includes JC Catibog (Managing Director), Owen Smith (Head of Planning), Eric Zhou (General Manager- Guangzhou) and Jason King (General Manger, Hong Kong).  He will continue to report to Wai Foong Leong, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of BBDO Greater China.
