BBDO Guangzhou promotes Eric Zhou to general manager

GUANGZHOU – BBDO Greater China, an Omnicom company, has promoted Eric Zhou to General Manager of BBDO Guangzhou. 

Zhou will assume responsibility for leading the growth of the agency’s office in South China. In his new role, he will continue to develop a team with a culture of developing great work, winning awards and new business. He continues to report to JC Catibog, Managing Director of BBDO South China.

“Eric is an amazing leader – inspiring, insightful and passionate about producing work that shapes the market,” said JC Catibog. “Under his leadership, BBDO Guangzhou has flourished as a centre of excellence, producing award-winning work.”

Eric joined BBDO Guangzhou in 2010 as Business Director. In his last role as Client Service Director, he led the office to win numerous local, regional and international effectiveness awards, specifically on Wrigley. The Extra Chewing Gum’s “Flavors of Life” campaign is one of China’s most award-winning campaigns over the past four years. 

“BBDO Guangzhou may not be the largest office in our Greater China network but we always punch above our weight!” commented Zhou. “We want to create award-winning work that brings fame to the fantastic brands we work with. They deserve nothing less than excellence.”  

Zhou was a finalist in the ‘Greater China Account Person of The Year’ and ‘Greater China New Business Development Team of the Year’ at the 2013 Campaign Asia Agency of the Year Awards.
