BBDO IS SPIKES 2014 NETWORK OF THE YEAR, DENTSU IS AGENCY OF THE YEAR

SINGAPORE – BBDO was crowned Network of the Year at this year’s Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity, powered by the likes of Australia’s Clemenger BBDO Melbourne scoring Grand Prix metal in Branded Content and Direct for Tourism Victoria ‘Melbourne Remote Control Tourist’, and ‘K9FM’ (for client Mars) by Colenso BBDO Auckland in New Zealand.

Dentsu certainly made its presence felt, being named Spikes Agency of the Year, with the remarkable ‘Sound of Honda’s’ Grand Prix wins in Digital, Film, Outdoor, and Promo & Activation. Also, Dentsu Y&R Tokyo won the PR Grand Prix for Dole’s ‘Banana Trophy’ in partnership with PR agency Platinum Tokyo, as Dentsu Chubu Nagoya’s ‘Mother Book’ for Kishokai Medical Corp. was awarded the Grand Prix for Design.

Ogilvy & Mather received a Grand Prix in Film Craft for Unilever ‘Comfort’, as OgivyOne Beijing took the Media Grand Prix for Volkswagen China’s ‘Eyes on the Road’.

In Print, Grand Prix was presented to Y&R Beijing for their ‘Penguin Audiobooks’ series for Pengin China.

The highly-coveted Creative Effectiveness Grand Prix went to the Australian Havas Media Sydney and One Green Bean’s work on the tongue-in-cheek ‘How Doug Pitt’s Brother helped Virgin Mobile Punch Above Its Weight’ for Virgin Mobile.

Independent Agency of the Year was awarded to Fred & Farid Shanghai, breaking Party Tokyo’s back-to-back Spikes streak, while PHD was recognized as Media Agency of the Year.

The Spikes Palm for outstanding production house was conferred on Collider Sydney.

The Spikes Awards ceremony was held at the Grand Theater of the Marina Bay Sands,with after party hosted by Leo Burnett at Clifford Pier
