CHINA – Along with other female key opinion leaders, BBH China’s Managing Director Christine Ng walked the runways of Shanghai Fashion Week for New York designer Carrie Hammer’s ‘Runway Revolution’.
Hammer’s first international fashion week show aimed to feature ‘Role Models Not Runway Models’ hence the appearance of a distinguished group of famous women leaders including Liz Schimel, President of Conde Nast China , Peggy Fang Roe, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Asia Pacific at Marriott International, Vvivi Hu, Chief Strategy Officer at eBay Greater China and Amy Cai, Corporate Tax Partner at PwC China to name a few.
“We selected women who are creative leaders, who lead by positive example and inspire others. Christine is a woman at the top of her field and leads with ferocious creativity. She is the quintessential role model!” said Hammer.
Ng, who wore a dress that was now named after her, is a veteran ad woman born in Singapore. She is one of the founders of both the BBH China and BBH Singapore offices. She has a string of accolades for her outstanding success as an advertising executive, and was named one of Ad Age China’s Women to Watch 2013 and was even honoured on a Chinese postal stamp.
“Fashion changes across the four seasons. In the communications industry, we need to constantly evolve with society and market developments. We need to be at the forefront of understanding consumers’ mindsets and preferences. For me, fashion and work share the same platform,” shared Ng.
