Brand & Business: Edipresse Media to Rebrand as Tatler Asia Group; Announces Prominent New Hires to Lead Expansion and Relaunch of Print and Digital

HONG KONG — Edipresse Media Asia, publisher of award-winning international brands including Tatler Asia, Generation T, T.Dining, and Home Journal, and lead investor in the leading Asian art and design platform, The Artling, will rebrand as Tatler Asia Group, and is appointing top executives to lead a relaunch of the brand, print, and digital platforms, it was announced today by Michel Lamuniére, chairman and CEO.

Brendan Monaghan is appointed Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer; Joe Zee joins as Global Artistic Director; Danica Lo is named Chief Content Officer; and Qing Shen joins as Managing Director, Shangliu Tatler. Edipresse Media Asia publishes in eight Asian markets including Hong Kong S.A.R., China, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Brendan Monaghan joins Edipresse Media as Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer based in Hong Kong. Brendan most recently served as Chief Business Officer of Beautiful Destinations, the largest social-first digital media travel brand in the world. He was previously Chief Fashion & Luxury Officer at Condé Nast on the revenue side on behalf of all Condé Nast brands in the U.S. and served as Chief Revenue Officer & Publisher of Condé Nast Traveler from 2015 to 2017. Prior to Condé Nast, Monaghan was Senior Vice President of Luxury for the New York Times and Publisher of T Magazine. He spent nearly 13 years at GQ in several leadership positions, including Associate Publisher and Executive Director of International Fashion. He also served at Vogue for two years as the Los Angeles Manager.

Joe Zee joins Edipresse Media as Global Artistic Director based in Los Angeles, overseeing visual identity across all brand, print, and digital platforms. Zee is the executive producer of the Netflix series 7 Days Out and was previously the Creative Director of Elle (U.S.), Editor-in-Chief and Executive Creative Officer at Yahoo Style, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Vitals, and Fashion Director at W. He is the author of a memoir released in 2015, That’s What Fashion Is, and hosted the Sundance Channel series All On the Line. He served as resident judge on the fashion competition show Stitched, and was a regular cast member on MTV’s series The City. Joe is a sought-after expert on red carpet style, appearing on Good Morning America and Entertainment Tonight, among others. A big part of his career has been as a celebrity stylist, working with Beyonce, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Julia Roberts.

Danica Lo joins Edipresse Media as Chief Content Officer, leading editorial at Tatler across Asia. Most recently, Lo was the Digital Director at Food & Wine, the Digital Director at WWD, the Digital Editor-at-Large at Glamour (U.S.), and the Executive Editor at Epicurious.

Qing Shen joins Shangliu Tatler, Tatler’s Mainland China edition, as Managing Director. A 15-year veteran of the media industry, Shen comes to Edipresse Media from the Financial Times China, where she was the Publisher of FT Rui Magazine. Prior to the FT, Shen was Associate Publisher of a lifestyle title and Editor-in-Chief of a fashion magazine at Modern Media Group China and Publisher and Editor of Target, a Chinese luxury lifestyle magazine.
