MUMBAI, INDIA — Mumbai-based cloud kitchen Trupt has been doing its bit for the vibrant community of Mumbai by serving food to those in distress. It could range from those who are covid positive and the family members struggling with the situation of their loved ones. With the numbers peaking everyday and the city heading towards a complete lockdown, a number of Covid positive patients and their families affected are finding it tough to cook everyday meals.

Trupt identified this issue and has helped families through their hygienic home-cooked food. This initiative is a step towards helping a lot of patients living alone and people in the lower-income groups who may benefit from healthy home-cooked meals in such times of utter distress. So far 400 meals have been shared by the brand across all localities in Mumbai. Covering localities such as Ghatkopar, Bandra, Vikhroli, Santacruz, Andheri, Kandivali, etc.

Founded by Mrs. Bansari Bhagat, Trupt caters to as many people as possible to deliver homemade goodness at their doorstep. Offering their service in and around Ghatkopar, the team at Trupt aims to widen its reach and serve more people in need of the nutritional food they need during this pandemic. The brand had indulged in a similar initiative last March during the initial days of the spread of the virus.

Talking about this initiative, the team says, “Through this food drive, we aim to reach out and help as many people as we can. During these difficult times, we as responsible citizens would extend our help via healthy home-cooked food to those in need. Everyday we receive multiple calls from people. Some, who are working really hard to make ends meet while some are worried about their children living alone and not eating a healthy meal. We want to not just satisfy the stomach of these people but also give them the mental satisfaction that someone is watching out for them. We aim to do our bit for society in whatever little capacity that we can and hope that we make a difference. Everyone can contribute towards this initiative through digital payment methods.”
