LONDON, UK – The Creative Engagement Group (TCEG), a division of international healthcare and communications group Huntsworth, has been listed in the 100 Best Large Companies to Work For 2021, placing at number #94 in the first year it has entered. Best Companies™ celebrates the very best in workplace engagement across the UK.
The agency was also ranked in a further specialist award and three regional awards.
TCEG placed #12 in the Marketing & Media’s 40 Best Agencies to Work For 2021 list, which recognises the company’s commitment to its employees for that particular sector.
In the regional lists, the group’s London office placed at number #35 in London’s 75 Best Large Companies List, while its Manchester office ranked #65 among the North West’s 100 Best Companies to Work For List and its Plymouth office was listed at number #38 for the South West’s 50 Best Companies to Work For.
These accolades follow TCEG being awarded two-star status in the Best Companies™ Accreditation Programme 2021. A two-star accreditation is given to those companies that demonstrate ‘outstanding levels of workplace engagement’.
Employees at all levels participated in a survey where results were benchmarked against other companies. TCEG’s listing reflects the wide range of employee policies and benefits on offer, including a peer-to-peer recognition scheme, volunteering schemes and highly flexible hours.
The Creative Engagement Group was commended for its approach to remote working during the pandemic. TCEG leaders and line managers increased their focus on mental and physical wellbeing and personal resilience by ensuring regular, two-way communications that were transparent, honest and empathetic and maintained the group’s unique culture remotely. Employees were encouraged to schedule breaks and given the confidence to say ‘no’ to meeting requests that would disrupt that downtime.

The Creative Engagement Group survey highlights:
- 82% of staff agreed that “My manager cares about how satisfied I am in my job” valuing openness and transparency, knowledge sharing and informal ‘check-in’ reviews rather than traditional annual appraisals.
- 93% of staff agreed that “work is an important part of my life” where awards are available for those recognised by their line manager for efforts that go over and above.
- 84% of staff agreed my organisation encourages charitable activities with initiatives at a business level and supporting staff projects.
The Best Companies lists were unveiled at a virtual event held on Friday 21 May, hosted by BBC TV presenter Dan Walker. The 100 Best Large Companies features private and not-for-profit organisations that employ between 200-1,999 people. The regional lists offer a platform for celebrating workplace achievement in the particular areas where a company’s employees work and live.
The Creative Engagement Group’s achievement comes just five years from when the company was formed.
