Big wins for the McCann group so far, bagging two Grand Prix awards as of writing in this year’s Cannes Lions Festival. The first Grand Prix award the group received was under McCann Health Shanghai, who was also named Healthcare Agency of the Year. Shortly after McCann Tel Aviv was announced as the Grand Prix winner for the Health and Wellness Lions, McCann Health was named as Healthcare Agency of the Year.
The Health and Wellness Lions is a celebration of creativity for the personal wellbeing to promote and educate non-prescription products and services as well as a pro-active approach in self personal care.
“For years creativity in healthcare communications from a creative perspective has seemed predictable and relatively poor. Thankfully this award show(amongst others) has helped showcase the value of creativity and societal benefits to those brands who are brave enough to think and execute differently. We now find ourselves in the middle of health creative revolution. I predict that in the next 10 years, healthcare communications will be the No.1 creative space,” wrote Publicis Lifebrands U.K Executive Creative Director and Health & Wellness Lions President Shaheed Peera in his message for the awards.
