UNITED STATES – Since McDonald’s rejected the #McWhopperProposal, a lot of other burger chains such as Denny’s, Wayback Burgers, Krystal and Giraffas have volunteered to wave a white flag and join Burger King’s quest for peace in a sandwich.
In response, Burger King wrote another letter to the five burger chains, McDonald’s still included, asking them for their own proposals for the ‘Burger Merger’.
Burger King also released a new packaging design suggestion. Instead of a play in the names of all the burger chains’ brand names, the new sandwich for a cause will be called the ‘Peace Day Burger’. But just the same, it will contain key ingredients from all the five chains’ signature sandwiches. The color of the packaging will also follow a neutral Peace Day blue.
Based on the new letter, Burger King already has a pop-up store under construction in Atlanta as mentioned in their original proposal to McDonald’s. The burger chains just need to say ‘yes’ to the proposal and make a donation to Peace One Day.
The Peace Day pop-up store will be up and running on September 21, 2015.
