NEW YORK – Month’s before the celebration of the International Women’s Day, women-led advertising, branding and design agency Badgers & Winters has released a campaign slamming brands and agencies that objectify females in advertisements.

In a video produced by the agency, part of the campaign #WomenNotObjects, they showed women sarcastically agreeing with sexist advertisements–from Burger King and Carl’s Jr. to Skyy and Tom Ford before ending with a powerful message that it’s your mother, daughter, co-worker or CEO you’re talking to.

Madonna Badger, co-founder and chief creative officer of Badgers & Winters, lost her four daughters and parents in a Christmas house fire. According to reports by the Wall Street Journal, this advocacy is an effort to honor her children, “I want my life to have a purpose.”

Badger admits that she was also guilty of objectifying women in the ads she did for Calvin Klein before and that’s what she wants to correct this time around. “I love my job but I don’t want to do it if it hurts anyone,” she said in an interview with Wall Street Journal.

The video have been viewed over 1.7 million times since it was uploaded on Youtube on January 11th.
