MUMBAI – Most of us grew up with the notion that eating in fastfood chains meant that we should be able to get our food fast, eat fast and leave the tables fast to make way for other customers who are also in a hurry to grab a bite. Fastfood chains do not have cushioned chairs and ambient music for a reason.

But in this new campaign entitled #ThodaTimeAur by Leo Burnett India, McDonald’s is asking you to take your time, maybe stay a little longer to chat with your friends by making their newest burger offering, Maharaja ‘The Social Burger’ Mac, so big, it eats up your lunch hour.

“As we celebrate the 20th anniversary of McDonald’s in India this year, we decided to reinvent one of our most iconic burgers – The Maharaja Mac. The New Maharaja Mac offers a fulfilling dining experience to customers and is a meal in itself,” shared Kedar Teny, Director, Marketing and Digital, McDonald’s India.

But the fastfood chain only have your best interests at hand. While you’re taking your sweet time gobbling up the humongous flame grilled Chicken or first ever Veg Maharaja Mac, the equivalent of the International Big Mac, you can catch up with your lunch buddies in between. But do so without violating the dining etiquette of not eating when your mouth is full.

“This proposition takes forward the brand’s agenda of building sociability at the heart of everything it does,” Teny added.

This spot is part of McDonald’s India’s aim to be a sociable, relevant and contemporary food destination which they started with the #KuchPalPoffline campaign.

“Aptly titled #ThodaTimeAur, the campaign demonstrates, how with Maharaja Mac’s great taste and large size, one can involve in long conversations, thus helping to further establish the brand’s image as a great place to connect and share for real,” commented RajDeepak Das, Chief Creative Officer, Leo Burnett India.
