SINGAPORE – This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, DDB Group Singapore and Soap Ministry have come up with a campaign to remind women to do regular breast self-examinations by using ‘The Ladysaver Soap’.

Breast cancer is the common type of cancer that hit Singaporean women. So to encourage them to do the breast self-examinations despite their busy lives, DDB Group Singapore and Soap Ministry thought of giving the reminder during the most convenient time possible–while showering.

‘The Ladysaver Soap’ comes in a box of 12 rose-shaped soap bars that will reveal waterproof chip that says ‘Check Breasts’ as they are used every shower.

“[The initiative is] a positive step towards bringing the topic of breast cancer and the need for regular self-examinations out into the open whilst providing an easy, personal way for everyone in Singapore to translate their concern for the well-being of all the special women in their lives into meaningful action,” shared Noor Quek President, Breast Cancer Foundation.

Other than spreading breast cancer awareness to Singaporean women, the campaign also aim to help breast cancer survivors and supporters who had a hand in making the Ladysaver soaps. The proceeds from The Ladysaver Soap, to be sold at $80 SGD for a gift box of 12 roses will go to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
