CANNES — The Cyber Lions produced three Grand Prix winners for the 2017 Cannes International Festival of Creativity. RBK Communication’s ‘Aland Index Initiative’ for The Bank of Aland, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne’s ‘Meet Graham’ campaign for the Transport Accident Commission Victoria, and Droga5’s ‘Did you mean Mailchimp’ all notched the top prize.

The Grand Prix Cyber winner for Social Purpose is also the second top win by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne for ‘Meet Graham’. The campaign featured an interactive sculpture of what the human body should ideally look like to be able to absorb the impact of a car crash. It served as the Transport Accident Commission Victoria’s latest awareness campaign on road safety. Watch the case video below.

From Sweden, RBK Communications’ The Aland Index Initiative for the Bank of Aland turned “a tool for consumption into an instrument for nature”. As the Nordic countries have the highest usage of digital/card transactions, the Aland Index Initiative used data from individual card transactions to generate a monthly CO2-impact report sent to the consumer’s Mobile/Internet Bank. The report aims to educate users on their carbon footprint as well as offers the opportunity to offset that footprint. Learn more about the campaign that won Grand Prix Cyber Corporate Social Responsibility below.

Once again, Droga5 demonstrated their unusual and wacky brand of creativity on the ‘Did you mean Mailchimp’ campaign to win Grand Prix for Integrated Multi-Platform Campaign. Jumping off from an audio ad played over podcast series Serial, where Mailchimp’s name was continuously mispronounced, this campaign featured three videos which further misspelled in hilarious and weird ways the company’s name into ‘MailShrimp’, ‘KaleLimp’, and ‘JailBlimp’. Watch them below.

There were also 19 Gold Lions given away, followed by 33 Silver Lions, and 55 Bronze Lions. See full list of winners below.
