Cannes Lions 2019: Dentsu Jayme Syfu’s Merlee Jayme and McCann Worldgroup Philippines’ Joe Dy Named as Jury for the 66th Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Two Chief Creative Officers from the Philippines are flying to the Palais to join the jury of the biggest Festival of Creativity in the world, Cannes Lions.

The Festival announced the first set of jury on May 10. Merlee Jayme, the Chief Creative Officer and Chairmom of Dentsu Jayme Syfu, is a part of the Glass: The Lions for Change Jury. While Joe Dy, the Chief Creative Officer of McCann Worldgroup Philippines is a part of the Radio & Audio Lions Jury.

Jayme was recently named by the Big Won as one of the eight most awarded female Chief Creative Officers in the World. Dentsu Jayme Syfu’s “Dead Whale” also won a Gold Lion for Outdoor in Cannes Lions 2018 and got shortlisted for Design Lions and Outdoor Lions in the same year.

McCann Worldgroup Philippines’ radio campaigns have been stringing awards in local and international award shows, the latest one being New York Festivals where they won Second Prize for “Lives–Moe” for Fully Booked in Radio, Third Prize for both RiteMed “Budget Epics”for Health and Wellness, and “Lives– Ed” for Fully Booked in scriptwriting. The same campaigns have been shortlisted for Health & Wellness Lions and Radio & Audio Lions in 2018.

“Radio remains a passion for me and I hope to see some well crafted examples of traditional radio spots alongside the latest innovations in audio marketing,” adds Dy.

Jayme and Dy are joining to represent the diverse and global mix of the most established talents in the industry. The Lions reflect the core disciplines that underpin and define the global branded communications industry. The full Cannes Lions Festival programme will run from 17 – 21 June 2019.
