As the second official day of Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity commences all the way in France, and following the winners announcement this morning (last night in France time), finalists are continuously being revealed by Cannes Lions, with 6 shortlists being released today, June 18 2019 under the Reach Track.

The Reach: Creative Data Lions award honors the unique play spaces created between ideas and information, coming up with 48 finalists this year under the leadership of Jury President Yasuharu Sasaki, Head of Digital Creative and Executive Creative Director – Dentsu.

FCB/SIX Toronto topped the Reach: Creative Data shortlist with its “Go Back to Africa” campaign earning 4 finalist spots.

 

Celebrating the ideas behind stunning campaigns and the impact of strategic planning to the business, the Reach: Creative Strategy Lion category came out with 80 finalists, led by Jury President Tracey Follows, Founder of Futuremade.

London is off to a good run in the Reach: Creative Strategy Lion with Grey London and AMVBBDO London earning 4 spots each for its campaigns. Grey’s “Gillette Treo” campaign contributed 3 spots, while AMVBBDO London’s “Viva La Vulva” campaign is in the running for 4 awards.

Jury President Nicky Bullard, Chairwoman & Chief Creative Officer of MRM McCann narrowed down the entries to 217 for the Reach: Direct Lions to entries with the best campaigns that “celebrate targeted and response-driven creativity” coming out on top.

TBWA\CHIAT\DAY New York rises to the top of the Reach: Direct Lions with 8 finalists for its campaigns

Honoring the campaigns that utilize media in game-changing ways, Reach: Media Lions celebrate the context of creativity. This year 237 finalists were chosen by the jury, led by Jury President Karen Blackett OBE, WPP UK Country Manager & MediaCom Chairwoman UK & Ireland.

McCann Paris earns 7 spots for its campaigns at the Reach: Media Lions, with its “The Non-Issue” and “Street-Vet” campaigns earning 4 and 3 spots each.

 

The Reach: PR Lions focuses on excellent strategic and creative communication efforts by agencies to protect and enhance the business of a brand. Jury President Michelle Hutton, Managing Director, Global Clients of Edelman narrowed down the entries to 242.

Lastly, the Reach: Social & Influencer Lions honor the best of creative social and influencer marketing solutions, with Jury President PJ Pereira, Founder & Creative Chairman – Pereira & O’Dell finalizing the entries to 162.
