Cannes Lions 2019: The Agencies, Networks, Campaigns and Companies That Won Big at Cannes

After five days of celebrating the value of creativity in branded communications, Cannes Lions 2019 has finally come to a close. With the complete release of results comes the tally of all the winners, here’s a breakdown of the top threes in their respective categories.

Holding Companies of the Year:

With Omnicom bagging the top holding company of the year award, Interpublic Group of Companies and WPP are runner ups in the top three Holding Company of the Year. The networks and agencies under each of them have racked up quite a number of metals.

Networks of the Year:

For the top three Network of the Year, McCann Worldgroup gets the top spot with 73 Lions (5 Grand Prix, 1 Titanium, 14 Gold, 17 Silver, and 36 Bronze). DDB Worldwide coming in second and FCB Global in third.

 

Agencies of the Year:

Wieden + Kennedy Portland bags the top spot for Agency of the Year with the help of its most awarded campaign, “Nike Dream Crazy.” McCann New York comes in second while Droga 5 comes in third.

 

Independent Agencies of the Year:

Wieden + Kennedy Portland once again tops a category in the Independent Agencies of the Year. Droga 5 comes in second and JohnxHannes New York comes in third.

 

Campaigns of the Year:

For the overall number of Lions for each campaign, top campaigns include Wieden + Kennedy Portland‘s “Nike Dream Crazy” and AMVBBDO London‘s “Viva la Vulva” with 13 Lions each.

DDB Chicago’s “Broadway the Rainbow” comes in second with 12 Lions.

McCann Tel Aviv‘s “Thisables” and FCB New York‘s “Whopper Detour” come in third with 11 Lions each.
