We’re halfway through the much-anticipated week of Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and more agencies join the lineup of finalists as more shortlists are revealed daily. Today, June 19 2019, the shortlisted entries for the Impact: Creative Effective Lions, Experience: Brand Experience & Activation Lions, Experience: Creative eCommerce Lions, Communication: Film Lions, Communication: Mobile Lions and Communication: Radio & Audio Lions are announced.
The Impact: Creative Effectiveness Lions is led by Jury President John Seifert, Chief Executive, Worldwide – Ogilvy. The category honors the creative campaigns that work – it works in a sense that these campaigns have a measurable impact on business results, cultural change, or brought an integral achievement in brand purpose. There are 23 finalists under the category.

Entering the Experience track, the Brand Experience & Activation Lions with Jury President Jaime Mandelbaum, Chief Creative Officer – VLMY&R Europe celebrate “creative, comprehensive brand building through the next level use of experience design, activation, immersive, retail and 360 degree customer engagement”. These are campaigns that make its consumers and non-consumers feel the brand how it’s supposed to be felt wherever they choose to engage with it.

The Experience: Creative eCommerce Lions, on the other hand, recognize create, commercial ecommerce, solutions and innovation. These are campaigns that make sure consumers have a pleasant online experience with the brand, especially when making the decision to purchase. Jury President Daniel Bonner, Global Chief Creative Officer – Wunderman, narrowed down the entries to 33.

VELORETTI Amsterdam’s “Car-2-Bike” work for Veloretti Bikes earned itself 3 spots in the Experience: Creative eCommerce Lions
Wrapping up the Communication track, the Film Lions category celebrates moving images that display exemplary show of creativity. Finishing with 262 entries, Jury President Margaret Johnson, Chief Creative Officer & Partner – Goodby Silverstein & Partners, focus on filmed content for TV, cinema, online and out-of-home experiences.

Lastly, the Communication: Radio & Audio Lions recognize creativity that’s music to our ears.
