As the 66th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity came to a close last Friday, the recipients for two of its most coveted honors – “Network of the Year” and “Agency of the Year” – were revealed. The former honored McCann Worldgroup who received 73 Lions throughout the week, while the latter was awarded to Wieden + Kennedy Portland.
Also winning the title for the “Independent Agency of the Year” award, Wieden + Kennedy Portland impressed the world with its global campaign “Dream Crazy” which featured former American football quarterback, Colin Kaepernick. As if that wasn’t enough, continuing its awards streak, the same agency’s “Dream Crazier” Nike campaign also bagged a Gold for the Film Lions this week.
As an independent, global creative company, Wieden + Kennedy has been leaving its footprints in the industry. Taking on the big companies and producing remarkable campaigns, the company continuously grows with the goal of building strong and provocative relationships between companies and their customers.
