Cannes Lions: 9 entries from India, 3 from Japan, 2 each from China, Thailand, and the Philippines are shortlisted in Health & Wellness Lions

CANNES – A total of 20 entries from Asia were shortlisted out of 153 globally in the Health & Wellness Lions at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

India flexed its muscles in this competition with 9 entries coming from them. Grey India Mumbai and DDB Mudra Group Mumbai earned three shortlists each while McCann Health New Delhi had two and a lone shortlist for J. Walter Thompson India Gurgaon.

The three shortlisted entries by Grey India Mumbai were in Brand-led Education and Awareness for the ‘The Health Purse (Sehat ka batua)’ on behalf of client Mahindra Rise. ‘Project Free Period’ for Johnson & Johnson by DDB Mudra Group Mumbai saw two entries shortlisted for Brand-led Education and Awareness, and one for Corporate Image & Communication. McCann Health New Delhi got shortlisted for ‘Noon Assembly’ Kwality Milk in Neutraceuticals and Brand-led Education and Awareness.

Asatsu-DK Inc. Tokyo got two entries shortlisted in OTC Applications for ‘Love is Organic’ on behalf of client Oralpeace. In Non-Profit/Foundation-led Education & Awareness, Hakuhodo Inc. was shortlisted for ‘Locomo Challenge’ on behalf of Locomo Challenge Council.

From China, M&C Saatchi AEIOU Shanghai was shortlisted in OTC Applications for ‘Hands 1’ on behalf of client Unilever and brand Lifebuoy. ‘The Fading Font’ by mcgarrybowen Shanghai for client Alzheimer’s Disease Chinese was shortlisted in Non-Profit/Foundation-led Education & Awareness for both Digital: Social and Industry Craft: Typography.

OTC Applications also proved a source of shortlists for Thailand as J. Walter Thompson Bangkok’s ‘Tiny Doll’ for client Kleenex was shortlisted for both Film Craft: Cinematography and Branded Content & Entertainment: Film, TV and Online Film Content.

Definitely not to be outdone, McCann Worldgroup Philippines earned two shortlists in Corporate Image & Communication. One for ‘Budget Epics – The Great Sandstorm’ and the other for ‘Budget Epics – Himalayan Showdown.’ Both were for client Ritemed Philippines Inc. and were for Radio & Audio.
