ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, JULY 28, 2011 – Card Alliance Pte Ltd, a member of the Korvac Holdings group of companies, has selected Euro RSCG Singapore as the agency of record for the EPINS brand following a competitive pitch involving five other agencies. Euro RSCG is tasked with developing integrated brand strategy and communications.
Card Alliance is the operator of EPINS, the newly developed PIN-based debit payment service in Singapore. EPINS currently offers consumers with Citibank and Maybank ATM/Debit cards a safe and convenient way to pay their bills and everyday purchases at nearly 4,000 merchant acceptance points island-wide. The new service also includes EPINS CashOut, which allows eligible Maybank cardholders to withdraw cash at participating retailers.
Jos Birken, chief marketing officer, Korvac Holdings said, “We are delighted to partner Euro RSCG to further strengthen the EPINS branding in Singapore. We aim to significantly raise awareness amongst consumers about our new alternative PIN-based cashless payment service, opening up new user possibilities on their PIN-based ATM/Debit cards."
“We are very excited to work with Card Alliance on EPINS. This is a fabulous product with unique and innovative features, so it’s fitting that we have developed creative work that will break new ground in the category. We have very high expectations for some great results,” said Andrew Crombie, CEO, Euro RSCG Singapore & Malaysia.
The win comes after a string of successes for Euro RSCG in Southeast Asia, including winning Kalbe’s Hydro business in Indonesia, Racer in Thailand and Bosch in Singapore.
“I’m pleased with the steady momentum we’ve seen in Southeast Asia thus far; EPINS is a great brand we are proud to be partnering with,” said Matthew Fanshawe, managing director, Euro RSCG Asia Pacific.
