Celestial Tiger Entertainment expands executive team

HONG KONG – Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE), operator of pan-Asian channels dedicated to Asian entertainment, has made four new executive hires in the key functions of advertising sales, content distribution, business development, and marketing.

I am confident these talented executives will further drive our revenue streams, discover new opportunities, and build our brands,” said Todd Miller, CEO of Celestial Tiger Entertainment.
 
Reporting to Miller, Nadia Hwang joins CTE as Vice President, Advertising Sales. Hwang will be responsible for leading and driving CTE’s advertising business across the company’s network of channels throughout Asia. Prior to joining CTE, Hwang spent over 15 years at Turner International Asia Pacific overseeing advertising sales for all Turner entertainment properties across multiple platforms in North and South East Asia. Her remit at Turner included sales, strategic planning, business development and sales operation management. At Turner, Hwang also held roles as the Director of Liaison of Turner and China Entertainment TV, and Sales Director of Taiwan. Prior to Turner, Hwang served as Advertising Sales Planning Supervisor at Sun Movie Channel in Taiwan. 
 
Annie Yim joins as Director, Content Sales and Distribution, and will be responsible for the licensing of Lionsgate’s television content as well as its vast library of feature films in Greater China and South Korea. Yim previously worked at Celestial Pictures as Director of Distribution handling the licensing of the Shaw Brothers Film Library as well as Celestial Pictures’ new content in Greater China.  Prior to that, Yim spent 12 years at Sony Pictures Television, based in Hong Kong, managing the licensing and distribution business first in Southeast Asia and then in Greater China. Yim will report to Ed Stansfield, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Business Development.
 
Simon Ng joins as Director, Corporate Finance and Business Development, and will be in charge of developing and evaluating new business initiatives for CTE, as well as support the company’s strategic and financial planning.  Ng previously served as Assistant Vice President with Barclays’ Consumer and Retail Investment Banking Division in Hong Kong. Prior to that, Ng worked as an Associate at Riverside Company, a U.S. based private equity fund with a US$3.5 billion assets under management. Ng will report to Stansfield. 
 
Shirley Cheong joins as Director, Marketing for CTE’s channel brands KIX and Thrill. Cheong will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing campaigns to build the channel brands and their viewership, supporting channel affiliates, and providing marketing support to channel distribution and advertising sales teams. Cheong previously spent 8 years managing brand, consumer and affiliate marketing for Disney Channels in South East Asia in Singapore, where she most recently served as Senior Marketing Manager.  Prior to Disney, Cheong was Account Manager at Creative Concepts and Promotions, a marketing events agency serving blue chip companies. Cheong will report to Andy Chang, Senior Vice President, Marketing.
