ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, APRIL 5, 2011 – The GMP Group, the recruitment and HR consultancy that caught Singapore ’s attention with the hugely successful Raffles Place Ghost campaign, is back with another exciting online campaign that is quickly making Singaporeans sit up and pay attention.
Created by McCann Worldgroup Singapore, ‘The GMP Group Job for Anyone Challenge’ promises to find a regular day job for even the most unlikely of candidates – Singapore ’s favorite camp comedian Kumar, Her Blogging Awesomeness Xia Xue or an avian so far only known only as Polly the Parrot.

Singaporeans are asked to choose from this unusual line-up and vote for the one they’d most like to watch in another job to that which they usually would do. In return, GMP will send a video of the winner in action in their ‘new job’ to all those who voted for the candidate.
“The GMP Group Job for Anyone Challenge is a testament of our 20 years of recruitment experience and ability to look beyond the obvious and recognize the true potential of the job seekers,” said Josh Goh, Assistant Director of Corporate Services at The GMP Group.
Angelique Tan, Regional Business Director of McCann Worldgroup Singapore said “The brief from GMP was to support the client’s 20th anniversary campaign tagline ‘We see potential in everyone’, this positioning GMP as a recruitment agency that looks beyond the ordinary. This fantastic brief gave McCann Worldgroup carte blanche to get creative and so ‘Job for Anyone’ was born – a campaign with a real buzz that leverages on local culture and local personalities in a fun and humorous way.”
The current activation has been realized on Facebook (www.facebook.com/thegmpgroup) and went live on March 28, inviting people to vote for the person they most want to see in an alternative job. This online execution comes hot on the heels of a highly effective print campaign which went live earlier this month and has already seen over 1000 people register their support of their favorite players in the challenge, suggesting that this campaign is one that Facebook users really ‘like’.
