SKY takes its audience on another epic journey with its 60 second spot ‘Murmuration’, created by DDB New Zealand and directed by Steve Ayson of the Sweet Shop. The spot follows an unassuming young hero as she explores the power of freedom in her own hands. The TVC is designed as a teaser to promote the latest SKY On Demand offering which launched in early 2015.

Steinlager: Live Dive

Steinlager is a New Zealand icon, the beer that represents New Zealand. Because of this they have always supported New Zealand’s biggest sporting heros. William Trubridge is a New Zealander, the world’s best freediver and 15X World Record breaker, but is virtually unknown in his home country. DDB and Steinlager wanted to finally give William the recognition he deserved by turning his next world record attempt into a live national sporting event. However freediving is not a spectator sport. And the event was taking place 102m underwater, over 13,000km away. DDB and Steinlager needed to turn the most inaccessible sport in the world into a spectator sport. And an unknown champion into a national hero.

BMW Reverse April Fool’s

Have you ever wondered what would happen if something that sounded too good to be true, actually turned out to be real – especially on April 1? More than 145,000 copies of the NZ Herald rolled off the press early on the morning of April 1, with what appeared to be a bogus ad printed on the front page, inviting people to bring their old car to an Auckland BMW dealership and swap it for a brand new BMW 1 Series. The first person to do so, would be rewarded with the new car. For one New Zealander, daring to dream big, paid off handsomely. Tiaana Marsh proved she was no April fool when she walked into the dealership and swapped her 15-year old Nissan Avenir for a brand new BMW 1 Series, worth almost $50,000.

Paw Justice Don’t Trade Me

Paw Justice teamed up with DDB New Zealand to launch ‘Don’t Trade Me’, a campaign which calls for online auction sites like Trade Me to put regulations in place to control the sales of dogs and stop puppy milling. The campaign kicked off with live auctions on Trade Me selling advertisements to support the campaign, which all sold out within five hours.

We Compost Weekend

With 1.4million tonnes of waste sent to landfill every year, organic waste collection business, We Compost, wanted to promote mindful composting by Auckland residents and business owners and encourage them to think twice before throwing out food scraps. Teaming up with Auckland Council and DDB New Zealand, ‘We Compost Weekend’ was born, where for one weekend, Aucklanders could leave their wallets at home and exchange a bag of food scraps for goods such as coffee, muffins and t-shirts.
