CHICAGO – Proudly Filipino brand Jollibee continues to make waves abroad as famous online publication Eater Chicago named it as among the Hottest Restaurants in Chicago (September 2016) joining the ranks of other famous dining restaurants in the United States. Eater has long been the go-to website for everything new in the dining scene across different cities in the United States including Las Vegas, New York, San Francisco, and Chicago. Every month, it releases the Eater Heatmap, which gives its readers the newest places to dine in.
Jollibee’s branch located in Skokie, Illinois joined the ranks of other newly opened establishments and was labeled as the “fast food phenomenon that has drawn a throng of joyous fans just north of the border.” The publication was drawn to the long lines in Jollibee’s first midwest location and praised the fast food chain’s Yumburgers, Chickenjoy, and the Jolly Spaghetti.
Other restaurants that made it to the September list include Lena Brava, a fine dining restaurant in Randolph Street, Giant along Logan square and Roister.
Jollibee Skokie, which opened on July 29, continues to receive good reviews from both the Filipino community and Americans alike praising the brand not just for its food but also the sense of community it elicits. Almost two months since it has opened, the lone branch in the midwest continues to see long queues of fascinated foodies wanting to try out its famous products and to be in on the joy. Eater Chicago’s recommendation definitely validates Jollibee’s strong presence in Chicago.
“It was humbling to see how Skokie welcomed Jollibee’s presence, the smiles we encountered reminded us of the joy that Jollibee brings. It also makes us proud to see a Filipino brand being recognized globally,” says Francis Flores, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Jollibee.
