UNITED STATES – MSLGroup has roped in Ron Guirguis, managing director of corporate & public affairs at Edelman New York, as CEO of its U.S. operation, effective September 14.
The appointment follows a number of leadership shifts at MSLGroup and parent company Publicis Groupe, starting with Arthur Sadoun, Publicis Worldwide CEO, who took over MSLGroup as CEO last June.
In August, former MSLGroup president of North America Paul Newman left the agency and was succeeded by Global CFO Peter Miller in the interim. In the same month, MSLGroup pulled in Guillaume Herbette, global VP of operations at FleishmanHillard, as global CEO of MSLGroup and EVP of Publicis Worldwide.
Guirguis will be reporting to Herbette. Prior to joining Edelman in 2012, he spent 13 years at FleishmanHillard, having held the role of Managing Director of Public Affairs for FH Canada and then Senior Vice President, Senior Partner and Deputy General Manager of FH’s New York office.
