BUSAN – AD STARS is now reminding creative professionals from around the world to enter the 10th AD STARS Awards before 15th May 2017.
With more than 20,000 entries anticipated in 2017 from over 70 countries, AD STARS is the biggest advertising awards show in Asia – and the only festival with a US$10,000 cash prize for Grand Prix of the Year winners.
Last year’s Grand Prix of the Year winners were BBDO Bangkok for ‘MOTO Repellent’ (Duang Prateep Foundation) and Y&R New Zealand for ‘McWhopper’ (Burger King).
AD STARS has announced three Executive Judges who will oversee this year’s jury: Suthisak Sucharittanonta, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of BBDO Bangkok; Helen Pak, Chief Creative Officer at Grey Group Canada; and Anselmo Ramos, Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of DAVID Miami, with more announcements in the pipeline.
Established in 2008, this year’s AD STARS will be the biggest in its 10-year history. With the theme ‘Creativity +-x÷ Technology’, AD STARS 2017 will consist of no less than five separate conferences and events coming together for the festival’s 10th anniversary from 24th to 26th August at Bexco (Busan Exhibition and Conference Centre).
AD STARS is also partnering with AFAA (Asian Federation of Advertising Associations) to host the AFAA Forum as part of this year’s festival, bringing AdAsia and DigiAsia – two biannual AFAA events – to South Korea.
“One of the big differences at AD STARS is its openness. It is free to enter AD STARS, and anyone – even non-professionals – can enter. Our 10th anniversary program will be our biggest and bravest yet,” says Eui Ja Lee, Co-chair of the AD STARS Executive Committee.
